While Initiation and rites of passage are often used interchangeably, they’re not the same. While Initiation is about entry, A rite of passage, is about transition. For us at M.A.P. it's a transition that leads to transformation. It’s more than an event; it’s a profound and intentional experience designed to mark a significant moment on the hero's journey. 

At Game Changers, this is a carefully crafted blend of challenge and ceremony. Young men are pushed to their edges, reflecting deeply on who they are and who they aspire to become. This process is both a bestowing of wisdom by a community of men, and a claiming of identity for your son, marking a pivotal moment on his journey into manhood.

NOTE: We don’t share the details of the ROP experience—this is our way of honoring the young men and the sacred nature of their transformation. If they choose to share their story with you afterward, that decision is entirely theirs. What we can promise is that this sacred process, guided by experienced mentors and rooted in trust, respect, and honor, will be a defining moment your son carries with him for a lifetime. He will also be given a sacred "totem" that serves as a cherished reminder of his journey, growth, and permanent welcoming within the M.A.P. brotherhood.

Great question! This is where your son will find the greatest value in the experience. After camp, once strong bonds have been formed, the journey continues with scheduled monthly 90-minute calls every second Tuesday of the month. These calls provide consistent touchpoints for guidance, accountability, and growth.

Your son will also have full access to our online group chat and community, where he can connect with peers and mentors throughout the year. This space is active with guided questions, challenges, and shared stories, creating a supportive environment that mirrors life’s rhythms.

For those who may need more personalized guidance, additional one-on-one mentorship sessions can be arranged. While our mentors are not therapists, they are skilled practitioners who excel at holding space and fostering trust. Boundaries and agreements are clearly established from the start to ensure a safe and respectful environment for all parties.
